Khenizi dates are very popular as fresh fruits in Kharak and Rotb stages. Kharak and Rotab of Khanizi are red and their fully ripe dates are between black and red. The amount of sweetness and sugar in date palm is very high. Khenizi dates have a soft and moist texture and are considered as a type of wet date cultivars, and if they are not kept in proper conditions, they will quickly become sour or moldy.

Refrigerated containers are commonly used to transport date palms, and the best conditions for storing this date cultivar are temperatures below 5 ° C.
