Specifications:
The body length of white shrimp reaches a maximum of 220 mm in females and usually 170 mm. Adult shrimp feed on zooplankton (small particles suspended in water), mollusk larvae, worms, and other shrimp. At 15 months of age, white shrimp spawn twice in early spring and late fall. The body of the shrimp is elongated and compressed on both sides. The shrimp consists of three parts, the head and the chest, which are attached to each other and the abdomen. The head and chest include the pelvis or carapace, the rostrum or spine, the compound eye, the antennae and small antennae, the motor legs, or the periopods, and the mouth, which immediately terminate in the esophagus and stomach. The head and chest are nutritionally worthless and are usually removed from the abdomen after fishing.

Shrimp based on size in four categories; Small, medium, large and king prawns are divided. Shrimp prices are based on their size. The nutritional value of shrimp is the same in any size. This price difference is due to the fact that large shrimps have less waste compared to smaller shrimps. Large shrimps have 30% of their body waste (including head, tail and skin). But small shrimp have 50% waste.
The nutritional value of shrimp
Shrimp consumption lowers blood triglycerides and protects the body from cardiovascular disease. Shrimp are also an excellent source of selenium. With the consumption of every 120 grams of shrimp, 81.7% of the body’s daily need for this element is met. Evidence from research and experiments shows that there is an inverse relationship between selenium intake and the incidence of cancer. There is evidence that selenium repairs DNA and prevents damage to cells. In addition, it prevents the proliferation of cancer cells and reduces cell death. Stimulates the immune system to remove worn out and abnormal cells.
